Gut
Health
What is the Gut?
The gut consists of the stomach,
spleen, large intestine and the
small intestine. There are some other organs that are helpers but aren’t
considered part of the “gut”. One of which is the Liver. The Liver is important to note when talking about the gut
because if it isn’t working properly some symptoms such as nausea and or
indigestion will make one think they have an “upset stomach” when in actuality
their Liver isn’t filtering correctly and is causing them too feel “sick to the
stomach.”
Symptoms of an Unhealthy Gut
One thing about gut health is that it isn’t a mystery. Our bodies tell us what is going on within all of
the time if you know what to look out for.
If you have any issues with your hair, nails, skin or mucus I would
venture to say that your gut most likely is un-healthy in one way or another.
Hair, nails and skin will look and feel dry, brittle, scaly or
sometimes it can be the opposite and be overly oily. Mucus buildup is another
tell-tell sign that is often overlooked.
Mucus is a protector for your
internal body. If we ingest anything that isn’t “good” for us our body’s
natural defense is to create more mucus to aid in capturing and expelling
whatever that is that is causing the dis-ease.
So, if you’re coughing up mucus or if your nose is extra ‘snotty’ just know
that your body is protecting you from something that has invaded your temple
aka your body. The best course of action
is to narrow down what causes the issues so that you can prepare your body
better in the future to prevent them before they even start.
Is there a ‘Remedy’?
The best overall course of action is prevention, plain and simple.
If we know what to look out for (because our bodies tell us what’s up) we
will be then be in a better place to combat the ‘dis-ease’ at the forefront rather than play the catch-up game
(which is much too often the case). But, if you do find yourself with acne,
blotchy skin, brittle hair or nails, excess mucus, upset stomach, acid reflux…,
by eliminating the cause and by upping your consumption of alkalized water and specific herbs you can
assist your body in rectifying the
‘dis-ease’ near the root not just mask it
as we usually do. I say alkalized water
because it neutralizes the overly acidic digestive system and helps your body
to absorb the herbs that you’ll take more efficiently. Water is
the key here because the herbs mean NOTHING if you cant get it to your cells.
Water is the key to that. As for diet I
recommend Dr. Sebi’s “approved foods” list foods. With it, you will be taking
away all acid producing foods and by doing so it gives your body adequate time
and energy to heal, repair, and prepare.
